Colonel Brown Cambridge School attracts students not only from across India but also from around the world, fostering a diverse and vibrant community.
Col. Brown’s leadership brought discipline, a love for sports, and academic growth to the school. His connections allowed CBS to hold pre-IMA (Indian Military Academy) classes, aligning with the aspirations of many families seeking military and civil service futures for their sons. Under his guidance, the school won the All India Hockey Championship, gaining national acclaim. Col. Brown’s dedication to Indian students continued until his sudden passing on April 18, 1942.
The Dalanwala area and the surroundings across the Rispana River were once known for tea production, which was popular in North India. Some of these tea gardens still remain on the outskirts of the city, adding to the charm of the school’s location.
The school’s motto, “MAGNA EST VERITAS” (Latin for “TRUTH IS GREAT”), serves as a guiding principle for future generations. The crest, featuring the lion for courage, the shamrock for Irish heritage, and the torch for learning, symbolizes the school’s foundational values that continue to inspire its growth.
