Col Brown Cambridge School, established in 1926, has grown over its 97-year history. Originally founded for Indian boys in the pre-Independence era, it attracted students from distinguished families. Starting at ages 5 or 6, boys were nurtured to become well-rounded gentlemen. Boarding school life instills much-needed discipline, which is especially relevant today, offering students a safe environment from outside influences. The school emphasizes core values of truth, honesty, respect for elders, family, and law. These values, integral to Indian society, shape students' lives, preparing them for success across various fields. Alumni have excelled in the armed forces, civil services, research, medicine, engineering, business, and education globally. Brownian alumni uphold these teachings, reflecting Col. (Dr.) T.F. O’Donnell's memorable words: “Eat well, sleep well, work hard, play hard, above all be a gentleman.”
This year we have completed 97 years and remember with affection who have come before us. Col. Brow School is a life time experience whether you are a student or a teacher. At a personal level I have recieved more than I probably have given it. The journey has been eventful, full of incidents and happenings – I cherish all of them, they have indeed become fond memories. None of it would have been possible without my boys, co-operative parents and wonderful staff.
